Dino Melaye’s case against Smart Adeyemi, of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is currently being heard by the election tribunal sitting in Abuja.
The case being heard by Justice Isa Sambo-led, was brought by the former senator for Kogi-West, after he was defeated in the election rerun in the state in November 2019.

The former law maker, tells the three-man led panel, that the election re-run after he was sacked by the courts, was filled with election malpractices.

He challenged Smart Adeyemi, who the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced as winner of the election.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Melaye’s party has called witnesses to give testimony in the case.

The APC through its lead counsel Otitoju Oladapo, closed its case without calling any witness.
