A man from Adamawa has climbed a very high billboard banner in protest against the President.
According to media reports, Lawan Faro said it was “extreme poverty” that pushed him into climbing the 40-metre-tall billboard.
Faro, described as a middle aged man is refusing to climb down unless President Muhammadu Buhari resigns.
He said there was an alternative to President Buhari, which he described as Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He added that if the 75-year-old Nigerian President refuses to go within 12 hours he plans to fall of the billboard.
“I will remain here for 12 hours to show my discontent, and someone not less than Atiku must come here to assure me that this government must be sacked in the forthcoming election,” he said.

President Buhari has been accused of running a nepotistic government and many say his fight against corruption has been a ruse.

Prominent Nigerians, including two former heads of state advised President Buhari not to seek re-election because he failed to deliever on his promises.
But in April, DENISAURUS News reported the declaration made by President Buhari to seek a second term.
Nigerians have been protesting the idea of President Buhari staying in office beyond May 2019.
A man named Isa Mohammed Munlaila trekked from Lagos to Abuja.
Last month, another man Nura Ilyasu, 28, who lives in Abuja, climbed a tower with the approval number AB0099 belonging to Airtel Nigeria in protest against President Buhari.

Weeks after the incident, Mr Ilyasu was arrested by the police.
The 28-year-old was arraigned before a Wuse Zone 2 Magistrate Court in the Federal Capital Territory on the accusation of trespassing the premises of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
