Isa Mohammed Ends Walk Against Buhari’s Second Term In Abuja

A man who walked from Lagos in protest against President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term bid, has arrived at his destination in Abuja.

Isa Mohammed Munlaila 28, who was carrying the colours and inscription of the All Progressives Congress on a coffin on his head, began the long distance trek on August 23, 2018.

A month later, the 28-year-old who believes the 75-year-old President of the most populous country in Africa is a disappointment, arrived at Wadata House, the Head Quarters of the Peoples Democratic Party, where he was received by Kola Ologbondiyan, the National Publicity Secretary of the opposition party.

Mr Munlaila who had previously trekked in support of President Buhari, spent 34 days on the road. He told journalist he sustained “leg injury,” and had to “some days off.”

Speaking at the PDP secretariat, Mr Munlaila urged the opposition party to offer a “good candidate for 2019.”

“I am not a politician, I am for good governance. I am not just alone on this, I am telling you; there are millions of youths on this,” he said.

“I am assuring PDP, if PDP can give us a good candidate for 2019, take it or leave it, PDP is winning 2019 election.

“From here, I am taking the casket to the mortuary because as you can see, APC is dead forever. The burial will be after 29th May.”

At the same meeting, Mr Ologbondiyan said: “After being deceived by series of promises made by President Buhari  and the APC, the man who trekked to Abuja from Lagos in support of President Buhari has returned to say the APC is dead!! He has also declared his support for our great party @OfficialPDPNig. Brave guy!!”
