ABUJA — President Muhammadu Buhari has been issued with the first expression of interest and nomination form of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The ticket – APC/001/2019 cost N45 million, but the 75-year-old President, who critics say failed to perform is currently in China and DENISAURUS News is not sure if he is aware of the news.
The former Military Dictator recently claimed that he could not afford the party ticket that would allow him contest in the 2019 Presidential elections.
Some people say the ticket was eventual sponsored by Yayaha Bello, the governor of Kogi.
Sunusi Musa, chairman of the Nigeria Consolidation Ambassadors Network, NCAN, who picked up the ticket on behalf of the President said: “We have decided to pull our meagre resources together and purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms for President Buhari as he presents himself to our party members to be chosen as its candidate the 2019 general election.”
Mr Musa who presented the cheque to Adams Oshiomohole, the party chairman said: “Our members from the various villages, local governments and state have contributed to making this happen.
“It is my singular honour and rare privilege to present to you a cheque of N45 million as payment for the expression of interest and nomination forms for President Muhammadu Buhari.”
