The Governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress APC in the upcoming  Ekiti election, Kayode Fayemi survived an extraordinary assassination attempt today. 

Opeyemi Bamidele, an APC chieftain and an unidentified person weren’t so lucky, as they were hit by bullets.

All were gathered at a reception party when they were attacked last night.

A spokesman for the party in the state has confirmed the attack

Taiwo Olatunbosun said the gunman aimed for Mr Fayemi, the Minister of Steel and Solid Minerals who resigned from the cabinet last week.
