The representative for Kachiya/Kagarko constituency in the lower chamber has described the All Progressives Congress, APC as “a sinking ship and I won’t perish with it.”
Adams Jagba, who has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, wrote to Yakubu Dogara, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, to brief him of his intention to leave the ruling party.
In the letter read by the Speaker, Honourable Jagaba cited his suspension from the APC as his reason for defecting to the PDP.
Similarly, another heavy weight member of the APC has today asked to seat away from his colleagues.
Senator Dino Melaye, who represents Kogi-West Senatorial District asked the Senate President, Bukola Saraki if he could instead seat next to the David Mark, a member of the PDP.
“I want to ask that you mandate the sergeant-at-arms to look for a seat for me before you do that I will take a seat close to general David Mark,” Senator Melaye asked.
