The former Governor of Kano, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso was greeted by large crowds on the streets of Kaduna and Abuja on Saturday.
Senator Kwankwaso, was mobbed by members of the Tijjaniya Islamic, who were celebrating Maulud Nabiyy, the birth of Prophet Muhammed.
The Muslim event was marked at the National Mosque in Abuja and a second event took place at a location in Kaduna on the same day. The lawmaker attended both occasion, where people chanted songs and clapped in his support.
A member of the popular grassroots Kwankwasiyya Amana group informed DENISAURUS News that “the place was so packed it was almost like a political rally.”

Senator Kwankwaso is said to be a major contender in the 2019 elections.
