The Police in Jigawa has arrested the campaign director of the opposition party, causing concerns. 

Mansur Ahmed, media aide of Suleiman Lamido, former Governor of Jigawa who hopes to become the next President of Nigeria, was arrested on Saturday.

Social media users were the first to alert the world to Ahmed’s arrest. They alleged that he was arrested because of his criticism of the current Jigawa State Government.
