The funeral service of footballing legend, Cyrille Regis has taken place this morning.
Thousands of people gathered at the Hawthorns to celebrate the life of the “pioneering” sports man, after a private service was held by his family.
Supporters, who flooded the street around 8 am where able to pay respect to the former West Brom and England striker, who died earlier this month at the aged 59.
Famous singer, Beverly Knight, was among the list of dignitaries present at the funeral.
Ms Knight, a Wolverhampton Wanderers Football fan said black footballers owe Mr Regis – who endured a lot of racist abuse, a debt of gratitude.
The family of the deceased have asked fans to remember the 59-year-old through donations to charities.
