President Muhammadu Buhari is on his way to Addis Ababa.
Nigeria’s commander in chief is to participate in the 30th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
The President is said to have made the journey from Abuja after today’s Friday Juma’at prayer.
A member of President Buhari’s media team posted on twitter, a video of the President has he boarded an aircraft.
The AU Summit, namely: Winning the Fight against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation, is scheduled to take place from 22nd to 29th January 2018 at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The President will speak on corruption, one of his special advisers said last night.
Mr Adesina, who made the announcement via his Facebook account, recalled that on July 4, 2017 during the 29th Session of the AU, African leaders unanimously endorsed President Buhari to champion the fight against corruption on the continent.
“The endorsement was in recognition of his personal commitment and widely acclaimed anti-graft drive at the domestic level,” he said.
