#Brexit: Opposition Leader Say May’s Grubby Deal With The DUP Caused Today’s Failure

By Danjuma Aliyu

Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the Labour Party has lashed at the Government, saying the grubby deal with the DUP after the election, was the reason the Tories were unable to reach an agreement on Brexit.

The opposition leader, 68, said so hours after European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the Prime Minister Theresa May acknowledged in public that they had not reached a Brexit divorce deal.

In a statement posted on his verified Twitter account, Mr Corbyn said: “The reason for today’s failure in the Brexit talks is the grubby deal the Tories did with the DUP after the election.

“Each passing day provides further evidence that @Theresa_May’s Government is completely ill-equipped to negotiate a successful deal for our country.”
