The government’s weekly Federal Executive Council took place this morning at the Presidential Villa.

The meeting began at 11am under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Ministers present at the meeting include the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige; the Minister of Health, Issac Adewole; the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Kayode Fayemi; the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu; the Minister of Women Affairs, Senator Aisha Alhassan.

The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo SAN was also present at the meeting, where the sum of N25.99 billion was approved to settle debt owed to power Distribution Companies, Discos.
