A 48-year-old white man who deliberately ploughed into pedestrians coming from a popular Mosque in North London, has been arrested by the police.
The man who has been identified as Darren Osborne from Cardiff, mowed down worshippers coming from the Finsbury Park Mosque, where they were observing taraweeh, to mark the last ten days of Ramadan.

Social media users say that the attacker leapt out of a white van and he stabbed two people.


A man is feared to have died.
It is the fourth terrorist attack to take place in the UK in the past recent months. According to an eyewitness, @didier, “innocent bystanders confronted the terrorist and held him down until police came.”
Seven people were injured and three others were seriously wounded, he said in his tweet.
Police who arrived on the scene at 12.20 am, said they are are dealing with the incident.
The Muslim Council of Britain, MCB said it had been “informed that a van has run over worshippers as they left Finsbury Park Mosque. Our prayers are with victims.”
The Labour leader, Jeremy Corny who is the local MP for the area says he is “totally shocked by the incident.”


The Secretary General of the MCB, said that he was “shocked and outraged to hear a van has intentionally run over worshippers leaving Ramadan night prayers on seven Sisters Road, Finsbury Park.”
The Prime Minister will chair COBRA, a meeting of the Government’s emergency committee, later this morning.
