The former leader of the Liberal Democrats, Nick Clegg believes that a hard Brexit will harm Britain’s economy.

Mr Clegg, who served as Deputy to David Cameron from 2010 -2015 is currently the Lib Dem’s Brexit spokesman.
Speaking at an event in Whitehall, he argued that the negotiation to leave the EU is already “hurting the very people who need most help in society.
Mr Clegg said the “economic damage is already being felt by the people who the Conservative have always cared about least: the poor, the insecure and the vulnerable.”
He told voters not to “let them get away with it. They don’t deserve to rule our country unopposed.”
“the country can not thrive without a strong economy, ” he said. “Yet we can’t have a strong economy and a hard Brexit.
“So the question in this election is this: Who will hold Theresa Mat accountable for economic harm she will inflict on Britain.”
Mr Clegg who was elected to represent Sheffield Hallam in 2005, is seeking re-election.
He said that his party will give voters another EU vote to decide whether to accept Brexit or stay in the EU.
The Prime Minister, called for an election to take place in June, despite previously saying she would not hold one before 2020.
Theresa May says the vote will strengthen her negotiating hand in the Brexit negotiation. But Mrs May was recently accused of being delusional.
The Labour Party has selected disability campaigner Jared O’Mara to challenge Mr Clegg in the June 8 election.
