The French President, François Hollande has urged French voters to support Emmanuel Macron in the second and final round of election.
In a tweet, the outgoing President, @fhollande said he would be voting for @EmmanuelMacron so as to stop the far right candidate.
Independent Centrist candidate Macron won the first round of the voting . The 39 received 23.9 percent of the vote last night.
His closest rival, the far right Front National candidate Marine Le Pen secured 21.4 percent of the vote.
The two remaining candidates – both seen as anti-established, will now face each other when voters go to the poll on May 7.
