Security services in Kyrgystan say the man behind Monday’s deadly bombing on the St Petersburg subway is a Kyrgyz-born Russian citizen.

Akbarjon Djalilov born in 1995, was said to have disguised the bomb as a fire extinguisher.

At least 14 people were killed and dozens were injured in what is reported to have been a suicide attack, however, it is now not clear if the bomber got away.
