Folorunsho Cooker has been appointed as the new Director General of the Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation, NTDC.

Mr Cooker, a former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture replaces, Sally Mbanefo, who was sacked in November 2016.

Mrs Mbanefo was at the helm of the nation’s peak tourism body from May, 13, 2013 to November, 30, 2016.

In her disengagement letter, signed by the Secretary to the Federation, Babachir Lawal on November 27, Mrs Mbanefo was directed to hand over the running of the corporation to the most senior officer.
