Briskila, the first wife of the Minister for Sport and Youth Development Solomon Dalung has died.

The minister, who made the announcement on his Facebook post, said his wife passed away on Sunday morning.

“For it is appointed for man to live thereafter comes death and judgment says the Holy Bible. While in the Quran, it states that it is appointed that every soul shall test death. My heart is heavy, I cannot continue, I lost my first wife this morning, he said.

“What a black Sunday,” he wrote on his Facebook post.“May her soul and the souls of faithful departed rest in the bosom of the Lord, amen.”

The details of Briskila’s death were not made known by her husband.

The Nigerian Football Federation have sent their condolences through its verified twitter account @theNFF

“The NFF and the entire Nigeria Football family mourn with the Hon. Minister of Youth & Sports, Barr. Solomon Dalung on the passing of his dear wife this morning. May her gentle soul rest in peace.”
