Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 45th President of the United States of America.

Mr Trump, who is not so religious, took the Oath of Office with his hands on two Bibles at 17:00 GMT.

“I Donald J Trump do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States, so help me God,” he said

In his inaugural speech which lasted up to twenty minute, the new president who was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts on the steps of the US Capitol in Washington, said, his election “will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers once again.

He promised to be the voice of the “forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. Everyone is listening to you now.”
