The Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has said he will not step down until May when the Supreme Court makes a decision on the disputed elections.

Despite effort by regional mediators led by the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, to speak to President Jammeh so he would relinquish power after his tenure runs on January 19, he remains adamant to stay in power.
