A bold blogger who has been helping to publish allegation of corruption at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC – was arrested by police this morning.
Abusidiq, a leading blogger who has published several articles by Adenike Lucas, which allegedly exposed fraud committed at the commission led by acting chair Mr Ibrahim Magu was arrested this morning by armed operatives of the anti-corruption agency.
The arrest of Abusidiq was confirmed by Peacock via his twitter handle @dawisu
“I’ve just confirmed that @MrAbuSidiq has been arrested by EFCC for making a post about them. Totally unacceptable & they MUST#FreeAbusidiq,” he stated at 12:14 today.
According to Rinsola Abiola @Bint_Moshood, a media aide to Speaker Yakubu Dogara ,”Abu has two little kids; he was picked up in his home by EFCC operatives who charged in with GUNS, terrifying his family”
Others have also taken to twitter to demand that EFCC #FreeAbusidiq.
