EFCC’s Account Director Hammajoda Muhammed And A Senior Staffer Arrested By Secret Police

The director of Account at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been arrested by the secret police, DENISAURUS News can exclusively report.

Sources let this paper know about the arrest of Hammajoda Hassan Muhammed, who was at the Hajj Commission at one time before.

He was not detained, but he spent several hours in custody, with what sources say is an investigation into the sacked EFCC chairman.

Some discussion with Hammajoda could include issues of payment of staff benefits. DENISAURUS News has learnt that staff payment such as the Proceed of Crime Allowance, POCA, has not been paid for the past seven months.

Hammajoda’s arrests comes hours after a High Court at the Federal Capital Territory, announced that it had fixed October 17, to hear a case of “abuse of office” against the former Attorney General of Federation, Abubakar Malami.

This paper also understands that another senior officer at the anti-graft commission, has been arrested by the Department of State Service, DSS.

The identity of the other person arrested needs to be ascertained by DENISAURUS News.

This paper, an authority where it comes to the fight against corruption, which has been following the issues at the EFCC since the time of Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, is still shedding light on issues happening at the Chairman Monitoring Unit, CMU.

The paper recently published an expose on Magu’s successor and how he was using the CMU wrongly to extort Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).

DENISAURUS News also exclusively printed the corruption carried out by Assistant Commandant of EFCC, ACE Shehu Ala, a course II staff, heading the CMU.

The news feature noted how the CMU had turned into a corrupt place for both Ala and Bawa.

Sources gave names of those who were involved with the fraud. According to a source, Faisal Aliyu Rafindadi, who came into the commission three years ago, and on a salary earmarked 200, 000 naira a month, allegedly now has a house valued at 60 million naira.

Mr Rafindadi of Katsina, also now own a auto body repair shop, where luxury cars are repainted.

Bawa, the EFCC chairman who was suspended from office and arrested on the order of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and a lot of his proxies are now billionaires, DENISAURUS News understands.

The erstwhile anti-corruption agent, the youngest to ever be in such a position remains in custody as sources have informed this paper he has so far refused to write a statement.
