Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a former Nigerian Finance Minister has become the first African Director General of World Trade Organization, WTO.

Dr Okonjo-Iweala, who served as Finance Minister during the Goodluck Jonathan regime, is also the first woman to be made the head of the WTO.

DENISAURUS News understands that the 66-year-old whose candidacy was endorsed by the President of America, Joe Biden, will serve as DG till 2025.
