A six-man panel has been set up to investigate allegations of misconduct made against Eze Madumere, the deputy Governor of Imo State. 

The investigation by the Committee, led by Kennedy Ibe, which is to report back to the House within seven days, is seen as a fresh plot to impeach Mr Madumere, who deputizes for Rochas Okorocha.

The ambush against Mr Madumere might be connected to his Governorship aspiration which many believe goes against Governor Okorocha’s plans.

DENISAURUS News understands that a petition against Mr Madumere was submitted to the House by deputy Speaker of the House, Ugonna Ozuigbo.

The petition was signed by 13 out of the 27 members of the Imo State House of Assembly.

A lawmaker who refused to sign the petition was suspended.
