Nigeria’s President has refused to comment on the allegations that President Donald Trump described African nations as “s**hole.”
President Muhammadu Buhari, 75, is currently on an official visit to the United States of America. He departed from Abuja, the capital of Nigeria on Saturday.

The 75-year-old, asked by reporters during a press briefing at the White House what he made of the claims, simply said: “I’m not sure about the validity or whether that allegation against the president was true or not. So the best thing for me is to keep quiet.”
Sources close to the Nigerian President – known to gaffe publicly, had tipped DENISAURUS News hours before the briefing that he will maintain silence over the matter.
The African Union had in its own response condemned the remark arguing that it was “clearly racist.”
President Trump was reported to have asked “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”
The US president was accused of making the “racist” comment during a bipartisan immigration meeting.
When speaking to President Buhari on Monday, the American President did nothing to deny the comment.
However, he noted that he and his Nigerian counterpart “did not discuss it.”
President Trump, who is eager to work with the most populous African country to end the killings of Christians, described Nigeria as an amazing place.
“Well, I would like very much to visit Nigeria. It is an amazing country.
“In certain ways, I hear from the standpoint of the beauty of a country — there’s no country more beautiful,” he said.
