Popular British-Nigerian grime artist, Joseph Olaitan Junior Adenuga aka Skepta, has been conferred with a chieftaincy title in Ogun State.
The 35-year-old who is currently in Nigeria for a show, was given the title “Amuludun of Odo Aje,” in the state where his parents are from.
The chieftaincy title translates as the “Chief Entertainer of Odo Aje” in English.
He shared the news on Instagram along with a caption to thank “the Baale, Chiefs of Odo Aje and King for presenting me with my Chieftaincy title today.
“I am honoured and will continue to put time and love into Nigeria, especially the community of Odo Aje.”

The rapper, who won the 2016 Mercury Music Prize is brother to JME and Julie.
He said: “Love Mum and Dad and everybody in attendance for an unforgettable day.”
