The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has adjourned indefinitely the trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Danladi Umar, the CCT chairman said: “the Tribunal will adjourn this matter sine die pending the outcome of the appeals at the Supreme Court.”
The decision to adjourn the case of alleged false asset declaration against Senator Saraki, for an indefinite period was taking by the presiding judge of the case, who noted this morning that “the decision of the supreme court will invariably affect the decision of the tribunal.”
Justice Umar said: “We have to protect the integrity of the supreme court first.”
