Nigeria’s President gave the biggest hint of his plans to stand for election in 2019.
While many weren’t sure if the 74-year-old would run again, President Muhammadu Buhari who is in Abidjan, on Tuesday night said he had gained a vote by bringing the Governors of Akwa Ibom and Bauchi with him on the trip to the 5th European Union – African Union Summit.
Many Nigerians are still in support of President Buhari. However, a former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke is also said to be interested in leading the West African State. Mr Duke, a brilliant administrator made his plans known in an exclusive interview with Dele Momodu, the editor of Ovation.
Others vying for the number one position in the country includes former APC Chieftain, Atiku Abubakar and a former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
