DJ Calvin Harris has lambasted the Conservative Party for using his “happy songs” as the Prime Minister’s conference entrance music.

On the last day of conference, Theresa May came on stage  to the music of Harris’s 2016 Rihanna collaboration This is What You Came For.

However, the superstar producer said, he did not condone the act.

“Conservative party conference playing my song was not approved – I do not support nor condone happy songs being played at such a sad event,” he said in a tweet posted 12 hours ago.
