US Vice President Condemns Far Right Group After Woman Killed At Protest Rally

By Christian Smith

The US Vice President has directly condemned white supremacists after a woman, Heather Heyer was killed at a protest rally in Charlottesville.

MURDERED: Heather Heyer

A man, James Alex Fields Jr who was accused of ramming a car into Mrs Heyer during a counter protest to stop white Nazi supremacist from demonstrating on Saturday, has already been charged.

One of the organisers of the Unite the Right protest was chased by protestors as he tried to give a press briefing on Sunday.

America’s Commander in Chief, Donald Trump has been criticised for not explicitly condemning far-right groups. There are fears that the white supremacist groups are not being condemned by the White House.

But Mike Pence who in the past lambasted those who failed to call terrorist attack for what it is, said: “We have no tolerance for hate and violence from white supremacists, neo Nazis or the KKK.

“These dangerous fringe groups have no place in American public life and in the American debate, and we condemn them in the strongest possible terms.”

A vigil was held to remember the deceased last night.
