The world’s most expensive football player, Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior has arrived in Paris from Barcelona with the aim of winning more trophies.

The 25-year-old, popularly known as Neymar, signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain in a deal to that cost 222m euros (£198m), yesterday.

Speaking at a press conference, he said his move from Nou Camp was not because of money. The Brazilian is seeking new challenges and trophies.

“Thank you Mr President for this new challenge, at PSG, in this wonderful city. I really can’t describe what I’m feeling in my heart. I’m really looking forward to getting started, and to achieve what I want to achieve.”

“This was about ambition. I wanted a bigger challenge, and my heart made this decision and I followed my heart. I want to help this club achieve and win trophies.”
