Len McCluskey Remains Unite General Secretary

Len McCluskey has been re-elected as the general secretary of the largest union, Unite.

Mr McCluskey, a staunch ally of the Labour leader, secured 59, 067 votes. His closest challenger, Gerard Coyne secured, 53, 544.

The result comes days after Mr Coyne was suspended from his job in Unite, as regional secretary for the West Midlands.
