BREAKING: Former Majority Leader, Ndume, Suspended From Senate

NASS Senate has passed a resolution to suspend Senator Mohammed Ali- Ndume.

The Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions recommended the suspension of the lawmaker who brought an unproven allegation against his colleagues.

Senator Mohammed Ali-Ndume failed to conduct proper investigation before making the false allegations against the representative for Kogi West and Kwara Central.

Senator Ndume, who had to appear before Justice Kolawole Gabriel over terrorism charges, petitioned the Ethics Committee to investigate Senator Dino Melaye and Senator Bukola Saraki based on a false report published by a US online media.

Following, the Committee’s recommendation, Senator Ndume has been suspended from today. His suspension will last for 60 legislative days.

The suspension was reduced from 181 days to 60 days, based on a plea from Senator Matthew Uroghide.

DENISAURUS News has reported about the rejection of the nomination Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, as the 4th substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Our investigation revealed the rejection of the corrupt anti-graft boss, has pitted people like Senator Ndume, Professor Itse Sagay against those who, based on an extremely indicting report by the DSS, refused to confirm Mr Magu.

Mr Magu has promised that if confirmed, he’d not continue the corruption investigation into Senator Ndume’s wife.

During his screening, Senator Melaye asked Mr Magu to defend some of the allegations put against him but he could not.
