President Donald Trump’s nominee to be Secretary of the Navy, Philip Bilden Philip has withdrawn his name from consideration.
Mr Bilden, the second Pentagon nominee to refuse a job under the Republican commander-in-chief, withdrew a month after he had been named for the post, citing privacy concerns and ‘significant challenges’ he faced in separating himself from his business interests.
Billionaire investment banker Vincent Viola had also withdrawn his nomination for the secretary of US Army earlier this month.
