Abba Kyari, a former leader of the Intelligence Response Team, who was busted in a sting operation involving the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has been granted bail, today.

Justice Kolawole Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja granted the suspect bail for the sum of N50 million.

The disgraced officer, who was also known to fraternise with the likes of well known cyber criminal, Hush Puppy, had been on remand for 18 months and was denied bail in the past.

The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police is facing a 24-charge offence along with two of his brothers — Mohammed Baba Kyari and Ali Kyari from the NDLEA.

DCP Kyari, was meant to be a model police officer and was known as a “super cop.”

He had solved several kidnapping case – one of which includes the capture of Evans a deadly kidnapper, but the DENISAURUS News, understands that case marked FHC/ABJ/CR/408/2022, which shows his involvement in a cocaine deal, has cut this to shreds.
