President Muhammadu Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo today, paid tributes to soldiers who died in service.
Dressed in traditional white Babariga, the President laid a wreath in honour of fallen soldiers, some of whom lost their lives in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency in the North-east.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, also laid wreaths at this year’s event to mark the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration.
Sharing on his verified Twitter account, Senator Saraki wrote: “Today, we honour the dedication and sacrifice of our Armed Forces and their families.
“We celebrate their service and thank them for their commitment to keeping our nation safe.”
