Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has secured is ward for the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC. 

APC scored 152, APGA 68 and PDP 22.

But despite delivering Kwoide ward 1, the former governor of Anambra did not win the entire state.

Incumbent Governor, Willie Obiano was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC

Reacting to the news, Tony Nwoye, the APC candidate said: “I accept the results myself but it may not be the stand of the party.

“I am sure that INEC really compromised. Imagine that the party chairman was arrested on the dawn of the election; party members were arrested across the state.”
