President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been known over the last three years, as a Commander In Chief with record of condoning impunity and injustice, is caught in the web and at it again. This time, a more heinous action that could mar the anti-graft war in many years to come, DENISAURUS News learned.
Authoritatively, this Newspaper understands that President Buhari has commenced the nomination of well known police Chiefs, to replace the “Corrupt” acting Chair of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Mustafa Magu.

In October 2016, the Department of State Services, DSS, charged with vetting of government appointees, wrote a damning report on EFCC’s Magu. Where it was widely revealed that the anti-graft boss is a “perennial offender and would constitute a liability to the corruption fight of the Buhari administration.”
This led to the twice rejection of the anti-graft boss by NASS Senate, when he was presented for confirmation by the Presidency.
The rejection of the police officer with “questionable credibility” remains in the headline because of this paper.
The indicting report from the DSS, which “reinforces the view that MAGU may continue to exploit his official position if confirmed as Chairman,” was also reported exclusively by DENISAURUS News making it impossible for his confirmation, while keeping the public informed about the “liability” appointed by President Buhari aka “Mr Integrity.”
Despite all the evidence put before Mr Integrity, Mr Magu has remained in office till now. DENISAURUS News realised that the Vice president Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has made himself a ‘demigod’ and insisted that EFCC’s Magu must remain at the anti-graft agency. This is without recourse to the glaring ‘corruption and impunity‘ perpetrated by the anti-graft boss at the agency, with several petitions pushed to Presidency and Senior Lawmakers by staff members.
But it seems, things might be changing and Mr Magu might be on his way to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS for leadership course which is mandatory for a promotion given to him last year.

It may interest Nigerians to know that President Buhari is now looking to replace Mr Magu and has shortlisted among others, two well known culprits in different crimes and fraud, which he intends to forward to NASS Senate for another serial Executive/Legislative rigmarole.
Not many Nigerians have forgotten about Hassan Zakari Biu, a known former hit man of Late Head of State, General Sani Abacha. He is one of those that President Buhari intends to put forward for the position of EFCC Chair.
A retired and former Commissioner of Police, Mr Biu led the General Abacha brutal squad, in the days of Military Junta. Though in the Nigeria Police Force NPF, but he was so close to the late Abacha and well known for carrying out “brutal” assignments for the then Head of State.

During the days of the deadly Boko Haram insurgency, a suspect Kabiru Sokoto who led the bombing of a Church in Madalla, Niger State, was set free and escaped. Many confirmed Mr Biu, a sympathiser to the terrorists’ organisation was involved in the escape.
The man known to have some instances, accommodated the group members, against his oath of office was summarily dismissed from office in 2012.
DENISAURUS News discovered that Mr Biu, whose dismissal from the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, was authorised by Parry Osayande, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC, was reinstated as soon as President Buhari took over power in September 2015.
Those in the know say that the ex-Police CP was reinstated and then given a befitting retirement.
Another serving Police Chief whom President Buhari is considering to push forward, is an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Suleiman Abdul.
Mr Abdul was at the EFCC during tenure of Mrs Farida Waziri, the first and only female Chair of the anti-graft agency. EFCC sources believe Mr Abdul amassed wealth far beyond the expectations of his peers and even seniors at the NPF.
Mr Abdul investigated a case involving a former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori. Insiders informed this paper that the potential successor to Mr Magu, also investigated Nigeria Football Federation, NFF case during Sani Lulu leadership, where over N2 Billion naira was stolen without any results. The case was originally assigned to another officer, but, was hijacked by Mr Abdul who saw to the decapitation of both cases.
DENISAURUS News gathered from our reliable source, that Mr Abdul is being supported and pushed forward by the Lagos Mafia, to include Party Chieftain Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos Traditional Ruler, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.
Mr Abdul who recently became ACP through payment for promotion to IGP, for the sum N10.2m is jostling for the position of EFCC Chair, having promised to finally bury the pile of Petitions against ALPHABETA on over N150b Tax Fraud, a company owned by Asiwaju Tinubu.
Our source also revealed that Mr Abdul, is well known for trading cases for cash, while he held sway at the EFCC during the Corrupt Former Anti-Graft Boss, Ibrahim Lamorde and present acting Chair Ibrahim Magu.
DENISAURUS News can report that Mr Abdul had acquired several properties from this fraudulent activity at different locations in Nigeria. Some of which involves destroying of many cases at the EFCC, that never saw the light of the day for prosecution.
The Police Chief presently own two multi-million-naira estates in Gwarimpa and Apo, all in the Federal Capital Territory. While others are located in Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa States and a massive Hotel in Jos.
“Mr Abdul was in the good book of EFCC’s Magu, until he decided to be cutting corners without sharing with anti-graft boss, this led to his removal from the agency,” a source revealed during an exclusive chat with the paper’s director.
Calls were made to Commission heads to request more information about Mr Magu’s potential successor. However, nobody responded officially.
A source has been able to furnish the paper with evidence against the police chiefs within the anti-graft agency.
DENISAURUS News will only make them available when President Buhari is really ready to fight corruption, or at the expiration of his regime with a new government.
Meanwhile President Buhari, 76, has nominated Modibo Tukur as the new Director of the Nigerian Financial Intelligent Unit, NFIU, two years after an expose from DENISAURUS News.
In 2017, an exclusive piece was published on this news site about the suspension of the NFIU from a crucial server.
At the time this news was published, Mr Magu, who the erstwhile director of the secret police described as a “liability to the corruption fight,” denied wanting to swap the DG of the NFIU for “Mo,” which was shortened for Modibo.
Just like the suspension, our news piece on Mo’s promotion was factual.
Sources within the EFCC – where the NFIU was formerly based, have reached out to this medium, saying that Mr Tukur should not be confirmed as he would further damage the agency.
