The Editor of DENISAURUS News, Adenike Lucas has been very privileged to have gained the trust of so many operational staff of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Over the past six to seven months, Miss Lucas has published several articles which exposed the corrupt and desperate acts of the rejected acting boss of the anti-graft agency, Ibrahim Mustafa Magu.
This week, thanks to this expose and the indicting report of the Department and State Security, Mr Magu was rejected by the Senate.

The Senate’s decision not to confirm Mr Magu has not been well “explained to the public.”
In an online survey, 25 percent of people (out of 818) thought that Mr Magu was responsible for his lack of confirmation, compared to the 35 percent and 12 percent who blamed the Senate and the DSS.
Miss Lucas says she believes “that if Nigerians understood what has been happening, they would stone Mr Magu.”
Hence, she says: “Mr Magu should thank his marabouts that the DSS is unable to publish the report of his atrocities.”
Miss Lucas explained that “some Senators do have a grudge against Mr Magu but they put their feelings aside and did not judge him on that account. They could never use that against him.”
Instead, insiders told DENISAURUS News that Mr Magu, “was rejected due to an indicting report written by the DSS which is under the Office of the National Security.”
Sources within the government stated that those with a grudge are in fact calling for the release of the indicting report against Mr Magu. But, Mr Magu should thank the Senate President who is upholding the law and preventing its abuse.
Besides, Miss Lucas stated that “Senators like Dino Melaye of Kogi West should be praised for sticking to what the law says about the release of classified security document.
In her opinion, Senator Melaye “has also prevented Mr Magu from the sort of jungle justice, Nigerians tend to mete out to suspected thieves.”
“Those calling for the public release of the document don’t understand the role of security enforcement,” Miss Lucas intoned.
“I was shocked when a lawyer joined the bandwagon of calling for the release of the report. This lawyer who has handed EFCC cases should know that even EFCC INVESTIGATIVE REPORTS ARE NEVER FILED IN COURT for security reasons.”
Miss Lucas read the fact check written by Ini Ekott of the Premium Times, PT and has given an adequate reply to all the spiel in that article.
She expressed concerns over the inaccuracies in the piece, adding that “it is no coincidence that PT has done this to gain sympathy for Mr Magu from Nigerians.
“Dapo Olorunyomi, the Editor in Chief / Managing Director of The Premium Times Services Limited, an online newspaper founded in 2011, served as a director under the stewardship of the pioneer chairman, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
In a show of loyalty to Mallam Ribadu, Mr Olorunyomi “voluntarily resigning when the then EFCC Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu, was dismissed in 2008.”
“He obviously has something to hide for his friends Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Mr Ibrahim Lamorde and Mr Ibrahim Magu.”
ALLEGATION 1: MAGU ADMITS TO COMMITTING CRIME
Mr Magu has in the past admitted to taking files home. Even the Premium Times in its article admits he had taken the files home in 2008.
Ekott states that “Mr. Magu, who was a chief superintendent of police at the time, was sent away from the EFCC and his Lagos and Abuja homes were raided by operatives even before he had the opportunity to hand over to Umar Sanda as head of the Economic Governance Unit of the commission.”
So in essence, Mr Magu claims he broke the rules of the commission, by taking sensitive files home because he was prevented from conducting a proper handover by the first and only female executive of the agency, Mrs Farida Waziri.
Miss Lucas believes this is a LIE. Part of the staff regulation at the EFCC states that under no circumstances must one take files home except the CEO, which at the time was not Mr Magu.
If you are not the Chief Executive of any law enforcing or security agency, you ARE NOT PERMITTED, to take documents home, even if it is because you don’t want to pile up work.
In law, enforcement agencies do not TAKE FILES HOME. Only, the CEO who is tasked with the responsibility of approving administrative documents and files is allowed to do so.
It should be noted that Mr Magu admitted his crime. He took files home and this blog notes a penchant habit Mr Magu has for blackmailing people with these files.
If it was not in his habit of to take files home, why is he being accused of the same offence in 2016?
In 2016, a close acquaintance of Mr Magu, the arrested Air Chief Umar Mohammed was found with EFCC document in his home. Mr Mohammed was said to be running a blackmailing cartel with Mr Magu.
Mr Magu had first denied knowing Mr Mohammed, yet in the PT article he admits to sharing a flight with him.
Mr Magu who was a level 12, in 2008, when he was found with sensitive documents at home, should be asked today that he holds the position of Acting chair, what he would do if he find documents in the house of a GL 12 core staff?
ALLEGATION 2: DODGY DEAL HOUSING DEAL WITH UMAR MOHAMMED
The DSS discovered that Mr Umar Mohammed had paid 2 years rent on behalf of Mr Magu. The rent which was paid in installment of N20 million for 2 years was used to pay for Mr Magu’s residence.
In order to pay Mr Mohammed back, Mr Magu asked the FCDA- which has the responsibility of developing facilities in the FCT to award a contract of refurbishing the place to Mr Mohammed at a cost of 43 million naira.
Mr Magu had claimed that the alleged Maitaima residence in contemplation, was paid for by the FCDA and not Mr Mohammed.
However, if this was the case, why did Mr Magu abandon the house which we had reported a while ago?
This blog understands that Mr Magu is not being sincere about the source of payment for this house.
ALLEGATION 3: PRIVATE TRIPS WITH ARRESTED AIR COMMODORE
We revealed on July 12, 2016, that Mr Magu and his buddy Mr Mohammed took a trip to the EFCC office in Kano on a private jet.
In the story, written by Miss Lucas, “Mr Mohammed owns several private jets which the EFCC acting chair is known to ferry about in, despite Mr Magu’ feigning statement of not knowing Mr Mohammed too well.”
“Speaking to Adenike Lucas, the EFCC source explained that: “around March 2016, Mr Magu flew on Mr Mohammed’s private jet to Kano State, where the EFCC has an Office.
“The trip which includes Mr Mohammed, Mr Magu’s sergeant officer, the Director of Finance and Accounts and the Director of Organisation Support of EFCC was monumental,” added the source.
The DSS which has access to flight manifest corroborated our story with their report.
ALLEGATION 4: N2.9M SPENT ON TRAVELS
Where did Mr Magu get the money he used to travel to Saudi Arabia in 2016? Mr Integrity, flew first class at a cost of 2.9 Million Naira. It was either from kickback from his police boys or from the blackmailing cartel he ran with Air Cmdre Mohammed. This blog can categorically state that Mr Magu is not able to afford this lifestyle with his salary.
The Senate President had a meeting with Mr Magu a week before his confirmation hearing.
Senator Bukola Saraki who we are sure had read the reports of this website wanted to prove if our allegation against Mr Magu was right.
The Senator for Kwara Central, a renowned medical doctor decided to put Mr Magu to the test. He offered to make a deal with him for his confirmation. One of the ‘test’ deal was to see if Mr Magu would drop ongoing investigation against senators. To his astonishment, Mr Magu happily agreed.
The delighted Deputy Police Commissioner even offered to go the extra mile.
This was what he had done when he offered the brother of former Akwa Ibom Governor, Ibanga Akpabio, a deal to protect him.
Mr Magu’s ‘dirty rag,’ the Sahara Reporters are now happy to report on the ‘test’ deal with Dr Saraki with the intention of absolving their ‘pay master’ of all guilt.
Why did Mr Magu fall for the trap? Well, as heavily reported by this blog on so many occasion, Mr Magu fell because he is so desperate to hold the prestigious position of Executive Chair of the EFCC.
